When this brother found himself and his partner on the other end of his sister's cruel and bigoted remarks he found himself forced to respond in kind. The sister approached her brother's partner when he was alone and told him that "You're so sweet, I hope God forgives you." Which was intended to be a thinly-veiled homophobic comment regarding her beliefs.
This thread was posted by the brother to Reddit's r/AITA subreddit where he posted the thread with the title "AITA for calling out my sister for sleeping with a married man?" He posted the topic to appeal to readers and see if his response to his sister was over the top, thus making him the 'A-Hole' in the situation.
He goes on to explain how his family is deeply religious and how his sister started having an affair with a married man when she was in college and ended up pregnant.
At the time it was a big deal to his family who didn't want their family tied to such a scandal, so they kept it hush-hush.
The poster of the topic himself is gay which, due to his family's beliefs, has caused some serious issues. His parents have learned to overcome their bigotry but his sister is apparently still working on it. She's apparently still working on her bible studies too because if she had read the Gospel of John she would have learned that whole "He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone." business. AKA don't hurl bloody insults that tie into your belief structure when you have literally committed an unforgivable sin within that same belief structure. It's just an added irony that the original context in the Gospel of John concerns a woman sentenced to stoning for adultery.
When his sister insulted his partner and cast that first stone the brother was incensed and cast a stone right back. But, as is often the case with these entitled types, his sister couldn't handle what she was dishing out.
