If you want to hear some controversial opinions, look no further than Reddit's "Am I The Asshole" subreddit. This meeting board allows people to post personal stories of times that they think they may have been in the wrong, and then the loyal readers of Reddit get to decide whether that person was being an asshole or not. A lot of the time these are pretty cut and dried stories, and it's very clear to see who the asshole is in the situation. But, in those cases, if the asshole is the person who posted the story, they're just going to keep acting like an asshole and they're not going to admit they were wrong anyway. Such is life, we guess, but with the story this article is about, things were a little different.
The OP in question decided to buy their dog a nice, snug harness to go walking with, and they picked out a stylish one that almost looks like a service dog vest. But, just so nobody gets confused (and also because their dog is a total sweetheart), this person put a big sticker that says "Pet Me" on the side of the vest. Unfortunately though, not everyone found that to be so clever. Apparently some woman came up to this poor person and their dog and… well, you'll read more about it below. Anyway, the owner turned to Reddit to figure out whether they were wrong or not, and the answers came in with a resounding: of course not! Who doesn't love to pet dogs! And, who doesn't love people telling other people to pet dogs. It's a win, win, win win win. That's why we wrote this article, so scroll down and enjoy!
How could anyone be angry at this face? You'll see in the next image what all the fuss was about, but we wanted to lead off with that perfect little smile. We also, seeing the image, understand how someone could confuse that for a service dog vest, but lighten up a little! You can clearly tell that this person and their dog are just having some fun.
When the OP explained further why they put the patch on their dog, we felt even worse about that stupid lady going up and accosting them! We personally feel that their decision to put the patch on served a positive purpose. Most of the people commenting on Reddit felt the exact same way, and they let it be known, clearly. Keep scrolling and you'll see what we mean!
