Rule-obsessed neighbor repeatedly reports woman to HOA for minor violations, so woman reads the whole rulebook, discovers that her neighbor's garden gnomes are too tall, so she reports her to HOA in retaliation: 'She got a fine for $200'

Two can play at that game, and in this case, that game is who can get who in the most trouble with the HOA…But it did not start as vengeful, this woman was just minding her own neighborhood business, until her rule-obsessed, Karen-like neighbor came out from the woodworks and started filing complaints about her over the most minor incidents. By minor, we're referring to grass that's 1-inch too long, or hanging an American flag with the wrong shade of white (is there even a wrong shade of white??)

This neighbor felt like she was purposefully being targeted, so what did she do? Well, she definitely didn't accept the $150 fine and pledge forgiveness…No, instead, she read through the whole 40-page HOA rulebook to see where she could beat her neurotic neighbor at her own game! Let the complaints begin… She noticed something written about the height of lawn ornaments, and remembered that her neighbor's lawn was so filled with garden gnomes that you could barely locate the actual grass, so she took her tape and began measuring…

  • Yep…She guessed it! 2 inches over the maximum height…So he took her tape and her newfound grin right over to the HOA to file her complaint. A $200 fine later, and a very unimpressed neighbor, this woman finally felt a sense of justice after getting her revenge. If you're going to file 101 complaints about someone else, make sure your house is spotless from imperfections!

  • apparently only red white blue or seasonal colors are allowed. i didn't even know that was a rule total fine was $150 i KNOW it was crystal who reported me because she made a comment the week before about how my yard was looking "unkempt" and maybe i should "take more pride in the neighborhood" my husband joel thinks i should've just paid the fine and moved on.

  • like a whole collection of them. they're definitely over 12 inches tall. the rules say no lawn ornaments over 12 inches i measured one when i walked by her house.
