'We are so happy that she’s back where she should be': After going missing overnight, a Doberman is saved by firefighters and joyfully reunited with her family

Pets have a way of holding our hearts in place, even when they wander off on adventures. Martha the Doberman slipped away during a stay with the neighbors, which sent her family into a long night of searching and worrying. With the house sitting on a cliffside and no clear clue about where she might have gone, the fear grew quickly. Everyone spent hours driving through the dark, calling her name, hoping to hear even the slightest sound.

Morning arrived without answers, and the silence felt even heavier. Then a tiny bark broke through the quiet. Following that soft sound led to a moment of pure relief. Martha was alive, hidden below the cliff and calling for help. The fire department arrived and carefully brought her back up, completely unharmed after fourteen hours out in the cold.

The mix of fear, relief, and gratitude that followed is something every pet lover understands. Martha returned home tired but safe, and her family ended the day feeling incredibly lucky to have their brave girl back where she belongs.

    We called the fire department, and within 30 minutes the fire department had her up on the ground. She was completely fine, uninjured and happy to be back home. She was missing 14 hours, overnight in 34 degree weather. She had curled up under some fallen trees and stayed there.
