'The most New Jersey thing I have ever seen in my entire life': A NY Giants bumper sticker deescalates a heated argument between two New Jerseyans

New Jerseyans are portrayed on TV through shows like The Jersey Shore and The Real Housewives of New Jersey—so you can imagine the kind of reputation they have. The thing is, if you know anybody from New Jersey, they don't deny that reputation. With some of the stories you hear from other New Jerseyans, it seems like maybe Snooki is no exaggeration…

Recently, a native-New Jerseyan shared a story online that he claimed as the "most New Jersey thing" he had ever seen in his “entire life” and other New Jerseyans agree.

“This was maybe the most New Jersey thing that I've ever seen in my entire life. I'm walking out of Shoprite and there's a guy backing up. I stop. And this [other] guy goes, ‘fvck this guy’ and starts walking behind the car. The guy breaks real hard. He turns, and he goes, 'you didn't see me fvcking backing up?' The [other] guy goes, 'yeah, what, you can't back up without a little backup camera?' And then the guy gets out of the car, and I'm just standing there, like, looking at them. The cars are in the park. The guy goes, ‘what, you got a fvcking problem?’ And the guy goes, 'yeah, I'm trying to backup and you're walking behind my fvcking car.' [The other guy goes,] ’what are you going to do about it?' The guy goes, ‘what am I going to do about it? How ’bout I crack you over the head??' And I'm just sitting there like, ‘this is about to escalate.’ The guy goes, ‘shut up you fvcking jerk off.’ The other guy goes, 'hey, you're a fvcking jerk off!' And he smacked the back of his car. I guess he must have seen that he had a New York Giants sticker. And the guy goes, ‘what are you, a Giants fan?’ And the other guy, he goes, ‘yeah.’ And he goes, 'good luck Sunday, I'll be there.' And the other guy is like, 'you'll be there?' And he says, 'yeah, I'll be there on Sunday, maybe we'll run into each other again.' And that was it and they both walked their separate ways…”

Apparently this interaction is common in the parking lots of Shoprites, a grocery store, I New Jersey. The entire interaction apparently scream New Jersey and some New Jerseyans even specify that it is very obviously North NJ from the accent of the Jersey native telling the story and the fact that it's a NY Giants bumper sticker that brings the two brawling guys together.

Any other New Jerseyans out there that have similar stories? How this entire state functions is an anomaly to outsiders…
