Tumblr Thread: The Difficulties Of Making Art With Cats Plus An Unexpected Twist

If you are someone creative, someone who stands in front of a canvas or sits in front of a screen for hours and you also have a cat, then you know that making art with a cat around is a struuuggle. Cats seem to have something personal against us paying attention to anything but them for any length of time, and at the same time, if we pet them for more than precisely 5.6 seconds, they will get pissed as well. But they will do what they have to to make sure that our attention is on them. Cats will start zooming around randomly, knocking everything in their path over as they do. Cats will sit in all the places that they shouldn't - including your canvases and your keyboards. 

Cats will make sure to be the very center of attention, and this lady on tumblr has clearly accepted it. Now, she simply holds her cat in her hands as she paints. Well, actually, there's a twist to her story.

    We do appreciate how calmly this cat is sitting though, not gonna lie. If we picked up our cats like this, then we would immediately be declared insane by our cats and have to be punished with their claws. This is a well-trained cat… mostly.

    To be honest, that's the one thing that we were worried about as well. It can't be good for them to come in contact with so much paint, so we do appreciate that she is aware and keeps an eye on them as they do this together. Maybe she can get them some cat-safe paints and let them play around in those as well at some point, have them make some art of their own.
