We've got to hand it to Steve Jobs and co: many Apple products have come to be designs that have defined the times that we live in. Are they produced in unthinkable volumes under horrific working conditions? Most probably. Is the record of their environmental impact similarly unsavory? For sure. Nonetheless, millions of people spend much of their days staring at their iPhones, and would find it hard to imagine life being any other way.
For a multinational tech company, they have been so successful with their base range products that they haven't tried to go as further afield as the likes of their equally famous peers. While they may be branching out now, they aren't reaching as high as the stars like a couple of other billionaire-led companies we could care to mention. Instead, they are starting small, with a design for a driverless car — an image of which was recently released to the public.
Twitter soon got hold of the picture of the prototype design, which promises both VR technology and no windows. People wasted no time in cracking jokes about it, not least because it reminded them of something. Perhaps for now, it's best that the company sticks to their mobile devices.
