Divorce is never easy, and among certain age groups, divorce rates are increasing. For instance, since the 1990s, the divorce rate has doubled among adults 50 years old and up, according to 2015 statistics from the National Center for Health Statistics and US Census Bureau, the Pew Research Center reported.   

There are many varying reasons out there for the dissolution of one's marriage. Irreconcilable differences, financial issues, communication problems, incompatibility, extramarital affairs, or some people just simply grow apart. When people are asked why exactly their marriage didn't work out one of these relatively basic reasons is typically the culprit. But sometimes the answer is much, much, MUCH more scandalous. Whether it be someone who was living a total double life and had another wife and several children in a totally different state, fathered a secret love child for many years, was hooking up with an underaged student, or they were running a financial scheme on everyone in their social circle, there are some pretty crazy reasons for people who divorced.
