We have to admit, video games definitely aren't our strong suit. As an office full of writers, we're pretty good with dexterity, keyboards, all that complicated stuff you have to do with your hands on a day to day basis. But, when it comes to handling a controller and making an animated character complete tasks– or even worse, if we're ever given a mouse and told to play a computer game, it becomes one of the most difficult assignments for us. For some people though, these skills have been developed over years of playing different games, and they'd jump at the opportunity to prove their skills as a gamer. The cat in question in this post is one of those people.
After years of watching their owner play video games, this cat decided that it was time to get themselves involved. So, they perched on their owner's lap, and told them to start using that kitty belly as a mouse pad. Incredibly, it worked perfectly! OP was able to continue playing, and kicking butt we might add, and their cat was able to contribute to the team! Plus, the cat looks pretty comfortable resting there, so we're a little jealous.
The hilarious video of this happening got posted to Reddit in the PC Master Race thread, and then wound up making the rounds from there. It was crossposted to another gaming channel, and to a number of different cat subreddits. Still, as you'll see from the comments that people were leaving on the original post, this cat has gotten a mixed response. Mostly, it seems like people are jealous of the cat's gaming prowess! Go scroll down and you'll see what we mean.
We're no CS superstars or anything, as we discussed before, but we still can't believe the prowess we're seeing from this human and cat super-team. The cat seems to actually help the human out, as some of the later comments point out, and that help actually turned into a kill in the game. The whole thing is hilarious, but you're not going to find up competing against either of these two anytime soon.
This post made its rounds around Reddit pretty quickly. OP posted it to the PC Master Race page, and quickly afterward crossposted to the cats page. It also hit a few other gaming pages, and now we're picking it up and talking about it on our website! If this cat gets lucky, they might even have a contract with an eSports team before long!
