Design is such a contentious thing. One the one side you have the designers themselves, who have turned their profession into an art, which at times is rather lovely to look at, but in reality is usually very impractical and uncomfortable to use - we're looking at you weird chairs that look like modern art pieces. And on the other side you have us plebs who just want something that is designed to work well, not break and be comfortable to use for long periods.

Which in reality is not all that much to ask considering that we are the ones paying for these things at the end of the day and will be stuck with them for the rest of their existence.
