Have you noticed that people have gotten less and less random as the years have gone on? Being random used to really get you places in society. In the 2000s, randomness was a social currency the likes of which we had never seen before, and will probably never see again. In 2009, if you told me that a "lol XD so random" girl would be the first female President of the United States, I would have absolutely believed you. But now, the community has shrunk, and everyone is so serious and coherent. Everyone's constantly talking about "discourse" instead of inserting their love of pizza into unrelated conversations. It's sick I tell you. Although randomness is generally looked down upon socially, there's nothing more cool and normal than a random meme compilation. When scrolling through one of these lists, there's no issue with rapidly changing from one topic to the next. In fact, it is the ideal form of meme consumption.
