Plant Memes For People Who Spend Too Much Money at the Nursery

Plant people are a special breed. It's true that I admire their ability to nurture and care for a living thing that doesn't wail, meow, or bark when hungry. But I have a bit of resentment toward them, too. It often seems like their money-spending habits (when it comes to their hobby) aren't publicly chided enough. Why is it irresponsible for me to spend all my "extra" money on food and clothes, but honorable for them to spend that same dough every weekend at the plant store? I call foul. As much as I like to hate, I've recently discovered that plant memes actually do touch on the tendency to open one's wallet for something pretty and green. Some of the memes are self-aware, and poke fun at the plant owners who are attempting to show self control. Others are about angry partners who are sick of watching their joint account become depleted thanks to the oft-expensive hobby. This makes us feel a little better about the injustice of it all. These particular memes aren't all about frivolous plant-buying. Nay, most of them just deal with this pricy addiction. At the end of the day, it's true that people should spend money the way they want. But perhaps, in exchange for my tolerance and understanding, green thumbs should teach me how to keep a plant alive for more than a week.
