I'm not a parent, but I was once a baby. And when I was a baby, like many other babies, I had a few basic needs- food, milk, diaper changes, the whole shabang. Obviously taking care of a baby can be exhausting, you can't just set out a litter box and expect a baby to take care of itself (unfortunately). So, when it comes to the mental health of new parents, it can be a bit complicated. On one hand, you need to respect that your partner may need some time to themselves. On the other, they always need to be prioritizing the child.
In this Am I The A$$hole post, OP's husband is a Twitch streamer who told her that he wanted to make some time to stream because it's mentally beneficial to him. When OP went to the store, she came back and realized he was streaming instead of taking care of their child. Should OP have worked to make some time in their schedule for his needs? Should OP's husband realize he may need to sacrifice streaming for a while? Read below for more context into this situation and let us know what you think.
