Cat Surrendered To Shelter Looking For New And Fun Places To Sleep In Furrever Home

Cats are known well for their ability to leap across rooms to catch flies, fit into any shape of a cardboard box, and make unworldly noises when watching birds. Yet, cats also spend a lot of time getting the necessary shuteye to engage in these activities. Sometimes, sleeping is their personality.

Poopsie, a gray and white adult male cat, was surrendered by her owner to the Richmond Animal Care & Control (RACC) in June. Her elderly owner decided Poopsie could be given a better life with a new family.

As an adult, Poopsie already knows what it means to be a cat, which means sleeping in his bed to gain much-needed rest from his escapades napping in impromptu places. Before he entered the RACC adoption process, he was known in his previous life to find anywhere on the floor to rest his eyes.

At first, Poopsie is reserved and wants to get the lay of the land before interacting with anyone. Although he's been a house cat for nearly all his life, he needs to ensure he doesn't need a siesta before saying "hello."

When he's recharged, Poopsie loves to get up close and personal to introduce himself as the "Sleep King." But the regal gentleman isn't relegated only to snoozing.

Poopsie loves to get out of his bed, stretch his legs, and learn more about what's happening around him. He likes to peer out of his room to see the other cats and kittens awaiting great homes like he is. He may also be planning on new places to nap.

This loveable, snuggable, yet quite sleepy gray and white cat would be perfect for any family wanting to add a new member. He may not spring up and chase a piece of ribbon, shred an empty toilet paper roll, or try to grasp a laser pointer's infamous, impossible-to-catch red dot, but Poopsie will fall asleep in your lap at a moment's notice.
