People are becoming much more critical of recruiters' rhetoric during the Great Resignation era. Even as early as the application process, employers will show their slips, and it will be apparent that their business is not an ideal working environment. Red flags during the hiring process should never be brushed off or ignored, and this case is no exception to that rule.
Reddit user Iambacon shared a job posting they found on Facebook to r/recruitinghell. There were several things with this posting that read as shady to Redditors. The manager told possible applicants, "if you're too lazy to come in dressed appropriately to get an application you will be too lazy to work." There are so many red flags already in that sentiment. First of all, what is "dressed appropriately" for a coffee shop? Don't most coffee shop employees wear a t-shirt and slacks to work? I get trying to make a good impression, but c'mon! The people of the r/recruitinghell had similar hang-ups, along with a variety of interesting takes on the posting.
