Indoor kitties, although spoiled and happy, still have the instincts of a regular cat. One cannot suppress their desires - not completely. Cats will show their ferocity whether you want them to or not - whether by scratching all of our sofas or trying to catch the birds on TV. Of course, indoor cats don't have the same environment as outdoor cats, so they really have to get creative when it comes to one instinct - the hunting instinct. Of course, we can help them, we can give cats a homemade snake and confuse the heck out of them, or we can buy cats a lifelike statue of a crocodile and watch them attempt to defeat it.
But, at the end of the day, cats will find something to fight in their home environment. And you, being their human, will get to enjoy the gifts that your cats bring you after the hunt. And you have to appreciate those gifts, no matter what they are. Because that dead mouse that is on your pillow - that is a sign of love.
It's like there are two options when it comes to the gifts our cats bring us. Those gifts are either the most wholesome thing in the whole wide world - like this one. Or… it's a bunch of dead mice and cockroaches and other disgusting things. But you know what? It's the thought that counts.
Now, this is not even a cat, okay? This is an angel. We don't know how you've managed to catch one of those, but your cat sounds like it fell straight from heaven. Adorable cutie. We've heard of cats trying to make their humans happy when they're sad but not like this.
