Fashion Student Uses "Thneed" From The Lorax to Create Different Fashionable Clothing Items

The Lorax (2012) could be considered one of the most memed movies of the past ten years. If you're thinking, "what? I haven't seen many Lorax memes before?" you're one of the lucky ones. Let's just say Tumblr had a field day with the protagonist of The Lorax: not the titular Lorax, but the Onceler. In the film adaptation, the Onceler is not simply some recluse old man who warns children about not destroying trees. Instead, he's a hot guy with an emo haircut. If you're really that curious about the Onceler fandom, google Oncest. You'll probably be sorry you did.

One thing The Lorax film did maintain was the Thneed. The Onceler invented the Thneed, which was made out of the wooly material growing on the Truffula trees. The Thneed was a versatile scarf-like piece of fabric that could be transformed into virtually any clothing item.

A TikToker was able to use her Thneed-esque scarf to create a variety of clothing items, driving home the fact that everybody needs a thneed.

Cori Strike, a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology, went viral for using her own version of the Thneed from the 2012 film The Lorax to make skirts, tops, dresses, and more.
Some commenters did not believe Cori, thinking that this was a deceptive prank.

She revealed that The Thneed was simply a fuzzy infinity scarf and available for purchase on Amazon. Her version came from the knitting lab at her university, the Fashion Institute of Technology
