Rectangle - Simply2Basic +1.5 days ago My wife use to rescue feral cats and adopting out those that could be socialised. She kept those that couldn't. It took a lot of time, patience, and love before they would trust us. But that moment when they first come up to you to cuddle and fall into a deep, totally relaxed sleep. That moment of absolute trust is overwhelming.

Hair - pingveno +2 5 days ago I remember a comment on Reddit about a cat that was a bit standoffish. But when the cat was dying, she came to her owner. It meant so much to the owner to know that when it came down to it, her cat knew the owner would be a safe and loving area.

Font - hr100. 5 days ago 3 My ex ..... Before we met he adopted a 15 yr old Persian cat that was due to be put to sleep if no one would take her in. She was very aggressive and it was thought she had been him and kicked by previous owner. He spoilt her and just let her be really, she was able to just enjoy a peaceful life where we fed her all sorts of fresh fish, meats etc. I met him and moved in after he has her about 18 months. She didn't like being touched much but she loved curling up in the

"…The last night she spent in our bed cuddling us both and letting us cuddle her. I'm sure she was saying thank you, especially to my ex who had given her the peaceful spoilt life she deserved"

Wow, we can't believe what we just read. Your ex sounds like an amazing human being, bless his soul.

Font - . 5 days ago I adopted a tiny tortoise shell girl a few years ago - it appeared she had been thrown from a vehicle and barely survived. I only had her for about 1 year before she passed; in her final months, a myriad of health problems cropped up. JesusHChristBot She was also standoffish - probably didn't trust people very much after the whole thrown-from-a-vehicle thing. She was not very cat-like, never played or ran around - I honestly think she suffered some brain trauma. She was occas

Font - I had to say goodbye to my Grandmother this year. I've started and sold businesses, lost ownership of others - I once had to fire about 20 employees, all personal friends who took a chance on a start-up with me, a week before fucking Christmas, due to my own failure. That was hard. Putting that cat down was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. For months afterwards, I would feel her jump up into bed around my feet. I would feel her curl up. I would try not to wake my girlfriend as I wep

Rectangle - catsamosa 5 days ago Wow, this one hit me. My kitty isn't cuddly either, but the one time she came and curled up with me was when she wasn't feeling well and something was wrong with her eye. She ended up being fine, but

Font - Starfire013 5 days ago My cat did this. Would never sit on my lap no matter how much I wanted her to. I'd place her on my lap and she'd just hop right off. On the day before she left us, she came up to me on her own, jumped up (with difficulty, she was very weak by then), curled up on my lap and purred. First and only time. About 12 hours after that, she deteriorated very rapidly (lymphatic cancer) and I had to have her put down.

Font - Simply2Basic +15 days ago It's was during the evening on the first date with my wife-to-be. We were on the couch just talking and her two unadoptable feral cats came out to investigate. For some inexplainable reason they both decided to join us. One sat a foot away from me and the other one cuddled up to my side and let me pet her. Her roommates and her cats decided that she should give me a chance and a second date. They never liked to be picked up or forced to cuddle, but I learned how

Font - khaominer 5 days ago I adopted an old cat from a shelter whose owner died. He loved to be around me, get some pets, but didn't really cuddle. He liked to sit on the back of the couch behind me. One day I booped his nose with my nose and he meowed, climbed down and sat on my lap. Cuddle city every since. Also extremely demanding about how he cuddles. Maybe arm pit, maybe spooned under the covers, maybe behind your legs, on next to your head hogging the pillow. he'll wake your ass up and te

Font - zublits 5 days ago I rank adopting a troubled, aggressive, "unadoptable" cat and nursing her over the course of 3 years or so into the most affectionate and loving cat I've ever owned as one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The shelter tried to dissuade us, but I wouldn't have any of it. She was locked up all alone, and if I hadn't been curious about what was behind that door, I would have never met her. She's still a spaz, but she's my spaz, and I've never been so close to a
