Humiliation is never chill. That is unless it's your kink, and we won't judge you for that. Humiliation in the workplace, however, is never okay. Redditor u/estranged_writer511 shared a despicable post with the r/antiwork community, explaining that their new job has a policy that requires people who are even a single minute late to sing a song for everyone as punishment.
The alternative to singing? Forcing the whole team to take a test to punish the latecomer. Unbelievable.
Needless to say, the Redditors of r/antiwork took issue with these outlandish penalties. Some spoke out against the practice, marveling at the fact that anyone would stay at the job after being put through the sadistic consequences. Others started suggesting that OP sing songs that would make the punishment just as awful for the punisher - perhaps even worse.
Imagine having to listen to someone sing “The Song That Never Ends” for an extended period of time.
When OP came back to the thread, they had quite a few suggestions. We're not sure if they're going to put them to good use, but here's hoping they at least got a kick out of their supporters on the internet.
