"This is the story of how my cat bullied a million dollar company into donating 3,000 pounds of litter to animal shelters:
You see, Gilligan and I recently had a video go viral, and the health monitoring litter company Pretty Litter commented on it. Initially I was a little upset that a multi-million dollar company was using my cat's popularity to get their name out there. So I made a video challenging them to make a litter donation… They actually did it! So many people tagged them in the video and even commented on their own videos that their TikTok manager reached out to me. I wasn't sure if they were actually going to follow through or it they were just placating us. So I kind of messed with them a bunch by quoting songs that their TikTok manager had written and referencing things in his social media bios. But after a few days of harassment, they agreed to donate 1.5 tons of litter—that's 3,000 pounds! I did some math, and since 6 pounds of their litter lasts for a month, they're donating over 38 years worth of litter. Also, I wanna point out that Pretty Litter actually does do philanthropy every year and this donation is going to be on top of their previously planned philanthropy for this whole year. They're like actually doing some extra because of all of us.
So now I gotta say, Pretty Litter absolutely held up their end of the deal. Now it's our turn to hold up our end of it. So many people commented on that video saying that they would switch to Pretty Litter if this actually happened. Some people even said they would adopt a cat. So where are you now? It's time to do our part, so I'm challenging everybody that commented on that video and tagged Pretty Litter to duet or stitch this video with the #PrettyLitterChallenge hashtag showing yourselves using Pretty Litter or adopting a cat. Let's show that corporate philanthropy is rewarded with customer loyalty so that we can challenge more brands to do this in the future…
I also wanna say that it was entirely my idea to make this video!! This is not sponsored in any way. Pretty Litter didn't negotiate with me or ask for anything in return. I made this video because I wanted to reciprocate the generosity they showed in their donation."
