There's nothing I love more than a little controversy. Not my own controversy of course, I like to keep my life controversy-free. But reality TV? Am I The A$$hole Reddit posts? Say less!
I've dealt with my share of family drama, though. It's impossible not to when you have such a large extended family. When someone kicks the bucket and leaves everyone fighting over what they believe their inheritance should be, it's such an uncomfortable situation to be in. Everyone feels they deserve more, earned more, and didn't get enough. Personally, I'll be burying my money in a public park and sending the entire city on a wild treasure hunt for my life savings.
In this Am I The A$$hole post, OP writes about her family that essentially disowned herself and her mother. OP inherited their family's summer home, and has been renting it out for some extra money. Her family reached out and demanded that the home be used for her cousin's wedding, and OP refused due to the fact that the home has already been booked for a wedding during the time they want and she doesn't feel that she is obligated to do that for them. This is a toughie- there are a lot of opinions on both sides of this topic. Should OP take the high road? Is there an obligation there? Should the family be going a different route? Let us know what you think down below!
Sounds like a beautiful home!
