Even the most dedicated feline fans have to accept that these critters can sometimes be hard work. While they may not always be as high maintenance as a dogs, they give them a run for their money when it comes to destroying things, making messes, and generally worrying us silly.
When I was growing up, my childhood cat's particular vice was stress peeing around the house. It only took a couple of unfortunate times putting my belongings within spray range to realize I had to be extra careful in certain places, but my sister was rarely so cautious. Seriously, the amount of times that her school bag had to go in the washing machine was kind of impressive.
The good thing with memes about cats is that unlike the real thing, we can enjoy all the cuteness and hilarity without the taxing side effects of having a pet. We admit that it doesn't make up for the sense of companionship, though.
