Cats are known for their stoicism. They're tired a lot, they don't react to our attempts to rile them many times, they have purrfected the RBF. Still, that doesn't stop us from trying to get them to react. Come on, we see all those funny TikTok challenges that people do with doggos, and we want nothing more than to be able to do them with our cats as well. So, we try. We try to bamboozle our cats with optical illusions. We try to confuse the heck out of our cats with homemade snake robots. We try to get our cats to react by presenting our cats with small puppies. Some people have even placed a tiny ice cube on their cats' heads to try to make them… so something.
But yeah… yeah, for the most part, cats will be cats, and that means that cats will continue looking at our attempts to get them to react as ridiculous and stupid. And the cat in this twitter thread is no different.

We've seen some people say that this is… unkind to the cat - that making the cat worry is mean. But if you tell us that you haven't tried to do something like this before with your cats… we won't believe you. It's just a thing that people do with their animals. Some people are happy with the results of their experiment. Other people have cats.

This… this is going to be one of those photos that sticks around on the internet, we can just tell. This is far too iconic to just go away after a week. We are not surprised in the slightest that the internet went off with the memes for this one. And we love all of these memes so much.
