Pranking can be light and fun, but not if the person being pranked isn't into it. If you prank someone and they clearly don't react to it well, then you should apologize and consider doing it to someone who you know for a fact would enjoy the joke. It should be obvious that you shouldn't prank the first victim again. At that point, it's not considered just a prank anymore. It's straight-up bullying. In today's 'Am I the A$$hole?' post, OP told us that her prankster husband has used her birthday as an opportunity to pull pranks on her even though she found it to be humiliating rather than funny. He promised that he wouldn't pull a prank at her upcoming birthday party, but a friend's wife told OP that she overheard her husband talking about the prank he had planned.
