Welcome to another Sunday, ICanHasers! Wherever you are and whatever you're doing, we hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend. Y'all already know that we spent our entire weekend at home cuddling with our cats. And honestly, we have no shame or regrets about it. Call us crazy but we'd much rather stay home in our cozy rooms, with our cozy lights, sounds, smells, and pets rather than suffer through small talk on a busy street. You know what we mean? If you're an introvert, you probably do.
Anyway, today we're back on schedule with our weekly Feline Appreciation segment where we highlight a particular cat breed, coloration, or origin. Today we're shining the spotlight on drumroll… The American curl. With origins from Lakewood, California, the American curl is a semi-long cat breed with a short to medium coat and, of course, curled ears. They enjoy daily exercise; both mental, physical, and spacial. They love their hoomans and are very interested in their surroundings, shall we take a closer look?
While you'll see that most of these curls have short fur, there will come a time when you'll stumble upon a curl with a longer coat. Like this little guy right here. Doesn't matter long coat or short, you can't avoid grooming. And they require tons of it!
In honor of spooky season, y'all already know we had to include tons of curly American voids. While all of these cats are incredibly precious, we do believe that the curly ears suit the black-colored cats the most. Just something special about it.
