If only we had a penny for every time we heard someone question our integrity and by that, we mean question why we own and love cats so much. The cat vs. dog debate has been going on for centuries. At this point, we've come to the conclusion that there are two kinds of people in the world: those who like cats and those who like dogs. And that's absolutely fine! But what isn't absolutely fine is to gaslight and provoke people for their preferences.
This brings us to today's article. We recently stumbled upon a Twitter thread where a woman asked, "why do you have a cat?". We're not exactly sure whether her intentions were pure due to the context, but regardless, cat people rushed to comment on their reasons for owning cats and provided tons of great cat tax. At the end of the day, all pets are wonderful. So why all this competition? Why can't we just like who we like?
"Cause look at this face. She's adorable, greets me every time I come home, she's random, loves her own space but lovingly still invades mine, her personality is award winning & she doesn't need to be walked every couple hours like another pet that shall not be mentioned."
Straight facts
"my cats are my world they are so silly n have such unique personalities n habits and require boundaries / understanding / trust. i think a bond w a cat is just so special"
We absolutely agree! Nothing can compare to the bond we share with our cats <3
