If you clicked on this article, that probably means you're a cat freak. No worries though, us too, so you're in the right place. Any self-respecting cat person knows that it's pretty much illegal to pass by a cat on the street without petting it. We can't even believe we have to say this out loud because we thought this was a known phenomenon, but apparently, not everybody knows it. Well, they do now. 

So yeah, the rules are pretty straightforward. You see a cat - you go on and pet it. But there is one thing we should always keep in mind: consent. Because life on the streets isn't always easy (or ever at all), many of the strays are filled with fear and anxiety. So you should never force yourself on the cat, instead, be patient, observant, and remember to always respect their boundaries.
