'I was 'smoking'': Guy tired of coworker's smoking breaks, devises his own way to "smoke" and fool the boss

Stupid problems necessitate even stupider solutions. In this scenario, a little bit of stupid creativity delivered the desired result and ushered in a positive change.

Sometimes you have to be the change that you want to see in the world. This guy wanted his breaks, the boss told him he needed to smoke, so he devised a way to "smoke." Sounds like a win-win here, and even better that it was all taken in stride and prompted a laugh from the boss.

I previously worked in an office where I was one of two non-smokers; everyone else was a smoker, and I, like this dude, wanted in on that "15-minute break every 45 minutes" action. To make matters worse — the boss smoked too — and you were at a serious disadvantage socially and politically in the office if you weren't in on these smoking break meetings. I'm not as smart as the OP of this story, so I actually started smoking cigarettes (sorry Mom) so that I could go outside with them for a smoking break. Don't do that, kids.
