If there is one single thing that every single cat owner will agree on after having lived with a cat for a long enough time is that these little criminals go out of their wat every day to make our lives more difficult. Obviously, cats have their sweet moments. That's for sure. That's fact. But goodness gracious, these little demons - we swear - spend their time thinking of new and exciting ways to make us jump out of our chair in mind fear and panic.
Cats spend their days plotting against their humans. It has to be a premeditated thing. We are sure of it. How else would cats manage to lock us in our bathroom? How else would our cats be capable of executing any of their seemingly complex plans to annoy us? How else would you explain any of the ridiculous stories in this twitter thread?
Hey, just because our cats actively work to make my lives more difficult doesn't mean that they are not our emotional support animals! Sometimes, you need a little slap on the bootie to get things going. Love hurts. Or at least… that's what we have convinced ourselves that our cats are thinking whenever they decide to randomly bite our ankles in the middle of the night.
Yup. That is indeed the counterargument. If someone - some cat hater - asks us why do we even have a cat then, this is the answer. "She's cute though." We will suffer through just about anything for our little murderfluffmonsters to show us a hint of affection.
