'You're a spoiled brat': 38-year-old woman kicks out boyfriend after he calls her 8-year-old daughter spoiled for leaving a plate on the table, the internet encourages her to leave the relationship

Dating is hard enough, but it becomes improvidently harder when you enter the dating arena with children already. In the story below, the narrator is a woman who's dating a man, both in their 30s and both with children from a previous relationship. They've never seen eye to eye on parenting, and it's becoming more and more of a divider in their relationship. She has an 8-year-old daughter, and he has a 4-year-old son. The daughter is starving for a father figure, and she tries to be affectionate with him and hold his hand, but he refuses. 

He feels uncomfortable doing it since he's not her real father. He seems to be a bit harsh with her, to his girlfriend's disagreement. She wants him to be more of a father figure to her. But the real icing on the cake hits when her daughter leaves a plate on the dinner table, and her boyfriend tells her that she's a spoiled brat. It's bit extreme for a child, and she has every right to question him.
