For this week's challenge, we decided to embrace the change that is happening in the world. Which change? It's cold outside. We've put off taking off our coats for as long as we could, but it's finally time to accept it. And we're not the only ones who have to deal with the drop in temperature. Our cats are dealing with it too. It is during this time of time that cats get to experience snow for the first time. And of course, while some cats seem to enjoy the snow, other cats hate snow with a deep ferocity. And for all of our house cats, it's time to sit back, stay warm, and hide from the rain at home.
Seeing all of these posts pop up, and seeing our cats struggle with the cold at home made us wonder: how do your cats react to the chill? So, we asked you, and we got some of the warmest and cuddliest answers ever.
PS, we encourage you to treat yourself to our pawesome new products: a cat calendar, and a matching cat & me Christmas sweater!

"...Sequel is old. The vet is guessing around 15-16 now. He was a feral when and around 2 when he decided he wasn't leaving. LOL. He has a heated padded box in husband's office, a heated pad in the garage and heat beach towels and put them on the kitchen table. This is how he handles cold weather. LOL!"
"This picture is from 3 yrs ago when we lived in Minnesota. Mara was always the first indication that fall was coming she would want to sit on my lap and be bundled up like it was 40 below out. She was a tiny little thing weighing only 6 lbs and my sweet little princess. She was in heaven when we moved to Arizona this last May. Unfortunately her advanced kidney disease caught up with her and she only got to enjoy the desert sun for 2 months. I miss my little princess."
"We have hot water baseboard heat, it is almost completely silent except for a bit of tapping from expansion when it kicks in, and the air is very still unless we turn on the AC fan. She will make a beeline for a register when she hears it kick in, and will stand with her front feet on the register, or lay on her back with her back feet on it, or sit right next to the register."
"My Jake loves to be warm but hate to be hot. This is his favorite blanket. I was cold, so I used it knowing he'd climb on top of me to snuggle with it, thereby warming me up even more in the process."
