Sure, people have their reasons, but some of these reasons are straight-up dumb! This thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/AskReddit page, includes hilarious, ridiculous, and just confounding breakup stories that range from imagining signs from God to getting new cars and needing a pretty person in the passenger seat.

Now, the reality is that we've all been dumped before in some way, shape, or form. If you haven't, please share your secret or confess that you're lying. Personally speaking, I once was dumped because my ex-significant other needed to "focus on their acid reflux" (I hope they read this). Some of the reasons people give are blatantly convenient lies. Or perhaps these people really are crazy and you're dodging a bullet. Either way, dumb reasons are dumb reasons.
