Martin Scorsese's Daughter Confirms That Her Dad Is in on the Joke With "Goncharov"

In some ways, being the kid of an A-list celebrity has got to suck. Sure, you get all the benefits of the money and fame, but you can also feel like you're living in their shadow most of the time. Embracing your lot in life, and paving your own path is easier said than done (although it has to be said, nobody brings up the fact that you're a nepotism baby if you're talented, and work hard enough).

However, certain children of famous people get to have fun with the whole thing every so often. This is especially true when meme creators decide to get involved. Over the past couple of weeks, fake Scorsese film Goncharov has taken over the internet with its tale of romantic mafia intrigue.

People on Tumblr have gotten pretty serious about fleshing out this forgotten Seventies classic — so much so that it has drawn the attention of the dude who apparently directed it, via his daughter. Francesca Scorsese happens to be a TikToker, who has previously featured her father on her account from time to time. She decided to ask him if he was aware of the phenomenon, and shared his amusing response. It's no surprise that people were tickled by it, as well as glad of the confirmation. Trolling is temporary, but Goncharov is forever.
