This boss is going to make those final weeks a nightmare. She refused to let her employee leave the company because of the dumbest loophole. The employee put in their two weeks notice, but it was denied because they technically gave just under ten business days due to the Holiday season. Are you kidding me?
This thread was posted to Reddit's r/antiwork subreddit by u/CaterpillarWeak893, who discovered that the initial contract did not specify whether or not two weeks meant two work weeks or two calendar weeks. With that in mind, as one person in the comments noted, this boss can't do anything. It's all empty threats. Our advice is to do the bare minimum on those final work days and if the boss makes it a hostile work environment, just walk away immediately.
