For many of us, Christmas isn't Christmas without some baking involved. Even if all the dried fruit and brandy stuff isn't for you, it can't be denied that the smell of sweet things fresh out the oven is enough to get even the most Scrooge-like among us in the festive spirit. Cooks across the world are going to be whipping up recipes we don't see any other time of year.
So far, so delicious, you might think. However, it's not always plain sailing when it comes to these kinds of preparations.
