You know what? Sometimes it can be a lot harder to meet people these days. We just don't put ourselves out there like we used to, and we are often finding reasons to not commit. Nonetheless, this isn't an excuse for the way that some guys think they get to behave in response. There's a pretty big difference between confidence and entitlement. Sadly, though, there are men out there who refuse to act like they know the difference.
Recently, r/dating_advice was presented with somebody exactly like this, who managed to prompt a unanimous disgust by describing an encounter where he approached a college student in a grocery store. Complaining about how she was insistent on rejecting him, people pointed out that his attitude wasn't something that deserved any sympathy. From the way he described it, it is not a situation that most women would be happy to find themselves in, especially when they're only nineteen.
