Workers discuss the reasons they like working from the office versus working from home

Let's face it, as big of a proponent as I am for flexible working and working from home; there can be some major benefits to working from an office too. That same comfort that your home offers can also be a great source of distraction, and it takes a lot of self-control to ensure you are being effective, efficient, and productive with your time. Having the separation of your work and private life is a massive bonus, too; as a personal anecdote, I consistently find that I'm spending more time than I probably should be on my work computer while working from home just because I can't just leave the office and walk away. The most significant benefit of working in an office is the relationships you form; all that time you're spending at work with other people can foster some life-altering connections that you'll keep for the rest of your life. Working from home arguably trades these relationships for the aforementioned strengthened personal ones. This is great for people who already have personal relationships, but for those looking to make new relationships, the office is a clear winner here.

Despite all of this, I'd put myself strongly in the “working from home is awesome” camp, but I know plenty of people who would disagree.
