'I was absolutely fuming and this was my last straw': Wife Loses It In Front of In-Laws During Christmas Dinner After Husband Keeps Making Rude Comments About Her Postpartum Body

After a woman gives birth, it is very common knowledge that their body will never be the same again. Many new mothers work hard to get their body back to its original shape, but even if they do end up coming close, it still takes months, probably even years. So when this new mom was getting snide postpartum body comments from her husband, she finally snapped.

It had only been several months since she gave birth to their son, but her husband seemed to be very much aware of her new body shape. He kept making extremely rude comments that he called "observations." He tried to gaslight her into thinking that they weren't mean or perpetuating body image issues, that they were simple observations that everybody had the right to make. She believed him for a while, but during Christmas dinner she had had enough.

While enjoying the holidays with her in-laws her sister in-law complimented her on her dress, but her husband had to chime in and add that her waist wasn't small enough for it. Embarrassed and now feeling insecure about her body, the wife leapt from her dinner chair and shouted "SHUT THE F*** UP ABOUT MY BODY!" The family fell silent and she was fuming.

The husband felt like she was in the wrong and continued to try to gaslight her into thinking she overreacted and deserved to apologize to him. She took to reddit's AITA to see if she was in the right or not. The internet has made it very clear that her husband is a gaslighting jerk.
