It turns out that Rainbow Bay in Australia has quite the surfing champion, and it just so happens that it happens to be a duck! This duck's name is actually 'Duck'. The name may not exactly be original, but the duck sure is! @daxon met up with @rainbowbayduck and created a cute video, showing off Duck's skills, and explaining how he came to surf in the first place. Kate, who is Duck's pet mommy, explained that she surfs twice a day, every day, and that Duck loves to join her.
Apparently, 40 years ago Kate's mother made a decision to adopt ducks instead of dogs because at the time you weren't allowed to bring dogs to the beach. Kate explained that ducks are a long-term commitment, and require a lot of space, grub, worms, and dirt to be happy. So the beach is kind of the perfect place!
Duck also throws a Christmas party every year called 'Surfing Santas and Inflatable Toys'. Duck waddles around and makes sure everybody is having the best of times!
