20 Unlikely Animal Friendships Proving That Love Can Prevail Despite The Differences

One of the most amazing things about the animal world in our opinion is just how different animals are. It's amazing to imagine that in this one world, on this one earth, things like vampire squids exist alongside things like tiny bumblebees. The differences between these animals are amazing, but - despite what you may think - just because they are different, doesn't mean that they do not get along. Interspecies animal friendships exist, and they are incredible.

We have seen interspecies friendships like that all the way from a giant horse befriending a teeny weeny kitten to a distinguished 17-year-old senior cat being friends with a 40-year-old cockatoo all the way to a dog befriending a wild dolphin and running around playing tag with it. Doesn't matter which interspecies friendship - they all amaze us, so here's a compilation of 20 of the most amazing interspecies friendships we've seen this year so far.

We have known for a while now that sometimes, caretakers give cheetah cubs little dogs to be their guides and friends, and that later on, these cheetahs and dogs become friends for life. But this is the first time that we have seen a leopard and a dog be friends and show so much affection to one another, and honestly, we think it's incredible.
