If you're someone who lives with a cat, then there is one thing you know for sure: buying them cat trees is a waste of money. Sure, they might enjoy sitting on them every once in a while, but you know what else they'll enjoy sitting on? Literally anything. There's a box in the house? The cat tree gets completely forgotten. And forget boxes. Cats choose the most uncomfortable places to sit on. That's just like a general rule with cats. The less comfortable, the better.
We have seen cats choose to sit on laptops - although laptops are at least warm, so we kind of understand. We have seen cats choose to sit directly on our pizzas - although, again, those are warm and they smell good, so we get it. But then, we have also seen cats choose to chill right on our puzzles - unfinished as they are - and that we don't get at all. And the cat in this thread? Apparently chooses to sit on egg cartons. Because those are just sooo comfortable, right?

It's one of our inside jokes here at ICanHas that cats will choose to sit on things so, so uncomfortable. And the thing that we always use as the dumbest, most unlikely example is: eggs. We've seen maybe one or two pictures of cats sitting on egg cartons in our time here, and today, thanks to this, we've seen a whole bunch more.

It's amazing how he just- sprawls all over them. It cannot be comfortable. God, we don't understand cats sometimes. Why is he doing this? What is going on through his funky little brain when he decides - over and over again, enough times that you know to do this - to sit on a carton of eggs?
