If you're new to owning dogs, or thinking of getting a second (or third, no judgment here), it can be a bit overwhelming when you're deciding what dog to get. There are so many different breeds, each with completely different personalities and energy levels. On one end, you have Huskies, the hyper goofballs of the dog world that will absolutely destroy your house if you don't exercise them enough, and then you have Pugs, the lovable dogs that aren't known for being the brightest lightbulb in the pack.
Luckily, this twitter thread explains some of the smartest and most common dog breeds to help you decide if it's right for you. Dobermans are extremely athletic, so they're perfect for someone who wants to train their dogs or do sports with them, whereas Rottweilers typically are nervous around other people, so they're best for people who live alone. Your future doggo deserves the best life possible, so it's best to do your research before giving your dog its forever home. Happy picking!
Goodness! Look at those ears! They're almost bigger than his face and it's too cute. We always wanted a Doberman when we were growing up. With their pointy ears and light eyebrows, they always look like they are ready to love you <3
Okay, the Doberman looks slightly less cute here, but the purpose of the photo is to show how athletic and coordinated they are. They're very good for competition training, or for anyone who is sporty and loves to be outside. Definitely not for the couch potatoes who like to stay in bed all day!
This dog breed is native to Nigeria, it's extremely loyal and good for hot climates. It's an independent thinker good for hunting.
