"She always says she can make the same thing for cheaper": When a Cheapskate Dates a Hedonist

They say opposites attract, and while that may be true, sometimes the difference is so substantial it's obvious the relationship was doomed from the start.

It can be challenging to find common ground with another person. This can be a problem in any relationship, but it can be especially challenging in a romantic relationship. Couples may find themselves arguing about everything from how to spend their free time to how to raise their children., but the differences between them can eventually become too much to handle. If a couple can't find a way to compromise, the relationship is likely to end.

In the case of today's AITA thread, a man took to Reddit about his "cheap" girlfriend.

The subject was clearly weighing on him well before he turned to Reddit, but the straw that broke this camel's back was her refusal to eat out when OP's brother was visiting from out of town, even though OP offered to pay for the entire meal.

OP got mad and called his girlfriend cheap, which got him… nowhere. Except for an angry girlfriend who won't talk to him because he's an a$$hole.

While name-calling is never the way to go, this entire situation screams too different to bridge the gap.
