You'd think- oh, what is there even to do for cat moms other than feed their kittens? Well, a lot! Cat moms have so much to teach to their little babies. Cat moms teach their kittens how to communicate - because it's important to know how to refuse to do what your human wants you to do in the clearest way possible. Cat moms teach their kittens how to drink water - because if you do it wrong, water will get up your nose. Cat moms teach their kittens how to walk - because even though you may think that it's easier on four legs than on two, it's still really hard. 

And now only that, but cats are known to be affectionate toward human babies as well. Even before said babies are born.
