Most millennials who were lucky enough to have a family PC growing up probably remember when the first ever Sims game was released in 2000. For teenagers at the time, the ability to facilitate social scenarios between virtual versions of you and your real-life friends (and crushes) was absolutely addicting, and many of us remember those long hours carefully creating characters and building relationships like some sort of vaguely sociopathic god.
