The Most Hissterical Places People Have Ever Found Their Cats: ICanHasCheezburger Edition

For this week's challenge, we wanted to embrace the shenanigans of our kitty cats. That's why we asked you to tell us about the funniest places that you have ever found your cats, and boy, oh boy, your answers did not disappoint. 

From the fridge to the ceiling to the inside of your drums, you guys seem to find your cats literally anywhere. Don't get us wrong. We know that cats cause mischief and mayhem wherever they go- often on purpose, and we know that cats have a tendency to fall asleep in the most uncomfortable ways possible, and we have heard about some hilarious hiding places that cats have chosen, and still - somehow - your answers managed to surprise us. So, thank you for sharing them with us. We really, really needed such a good laugh today.

    "I'm sitting on the couch one night..."

    "I'm sitting on the couch one night and heard noises in the kitchen. Other two cats ran in so thought I'd better have a look but when I got to the kitchen the noise had stopped. One of the other two was on the stove looking intently toward the back of the stove. The noise started again and I thought you've gotta be kidding me. Pulled the stove out and sure enough there was my third cat. Now it's as far back as possible with the air fryer on the bench up against the side of it. It's amazing how larger cats can fit in these gaps. All three of mine are Maine Coons.

    "Apparently, Six got up in the car while I was unloading it and got locked in afterwards.
    I only found out when I heard my car horn going off randomly but persistently. He stood in my seat and put his paws on the horn until I came and discovered what had happened."

    "This is a bed frame on it's side being used to hold cat carriers. I had a bunch of fosters so the furniture moved out to make a cat room. I was looking for Savannah and just happened to look up. And caught the best cat photo of my life. She was so damn proud she hid so well"

    "One day I was something & went to get an item..."

    "I have another one. One day I was something & went to get an item out of a cupboard did what I had to do and went back to the kitchen and shut the cupboard. Sometime later I realized I hadn't seen one of my cats so went to look for him. Then it suddenly dawned on me and I went and opened the cupboard. Sure enough out he came, here's a picture of said (like I called the other one) twit. He's also a Maine Coon."

As I waited at a traffic light at the base of the hill, I saw my Boozer Kitty meandering around a Chinese restaurant. I opened my window and shouted her name.     Font - Alicia Herzing My mom had a couch that her cats had pulled the fabric off the bottom of the frame and would crawl in and hang out. She eventually gave the couch to my cousin who lived 10 miles or so away. They loaded up the couch in the back of his pickup.     Font - Sue Burchfield Craver Heard a strange noise coming from a floor vent. When I looked into it I saw my tuxedo cat looking up at me! He had removed one of the covers and crawled into the ductwork. I had to turn on the fan to blow air through the system to make him come back out.
