Lions And Tigers And Animal Memes, Oh My!

The Wizard of Oz is widely regarded as one of the greatest movies of all time, and it's easy to understand why. The original stories by L. Frank Baum have been a significant part of the cultural zeitgeist since the early 1900s. When MGM made the movie adaptation, they weren't going to make anything less than perfect. Judy Garland is wonderful as Dorothy, the music is beautiful, and the movie will literally live on forever. 

When I was a kid, I wasn't that afraid of the Wicked Witch of the West, but I was petrified (no pun intended) by the trees that threw apples at Dorothy. Something about their creepy wooden faces and the threat of getting pelted with apples was too much for me as a toddler. Luckily for me, I was usually able to get through that part with my hands over my eyes and get through the movie. If you're a Cowardly Lion superfan or a Flying Monkey apologist, these animal memes will be perfect.
