Divorce isn't easy for anybody involved. The couple getting the divorce, the kids, the friends, the family, and, of course, the pets. Even if you're just a couple who aren't even married with a dog, the breakup is still made extra difficult when you share a pet. Who gets the animal? Do you split custody? Do one of you get them and the other doesn't? It's a difficult time to say the least.
One doggy daycare employee got stuck in the middle of a dog in her care and the dog's parents separating. The doggy parents had decided to split only the night before, so when the doggy dad brought in the dog to daycare the next morning, he told the employees to not allow the doggy mom to pick up the dog. All the employees instantly knew this was going to be dramatic.
Of course, the doggy dad's ex showed up and demanded the dog, but the daycare just couldn't give them to her. It was already in the files that she was unauthorized to take the dog. The doggy dad came rushing over and the employee at the front desk got stuck right between the couple having a huge blow out fight. They said it was the most awkward and uncomfortable thing they have ever experienced while working in customer service.
