In one corner, we have the Fennec Fox, known for its adorably oversized ears. This foxy little mammal is found mainly in the Sahara Desert (not desserts, thank goodness) and is known for being cute and playful, as well as being able to live for up to 14 years in captivity, around 10 in the wild. Their ears are so big so that they can help disperse body heat and also listen underground for bugs, prey, or hunters on the loose. We are absolutely swooning over these cute babies and would 100% take one home immediately, is possible.
In the other corner, we have the more widely known Red Fox, known for their tricksy nature, playful spirits, adorable smiles, and dog-like personality. Their pups stay with the mother for seven whole months, which is a long time for a little baby fox! We love their natural eyeliner, how they roll over for belly scratches, and their little yelps when they get excited. We would also 100% take one home immediately, if possible.
So, who to choose? Oversized ears? Cuddly and kind-looking red face that just wants some good head scratches? How can you possibly choose?
Imagine these ears in airplane mode, this little Fennec might even be able to fly! If you think about it, they're twice the size of his face, but it makes him soooooooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute. We're in love.
How can you not fall in love with this silly little fox? What is he even doing? He's makin' his way downtown, walkin' fast, pace is fast and he's homebound (bonus points if you get this reference). What a silly goober! We're in love.
