Hi friends! Today we are shining our very bright Animal Comedy spotlight on some truly fabulous pooches, Corgis! The Welsh Corgi is a small type of herding dog that originated in Wales. The name corgi is derived from the Welsh words cor and ci, meaning "dwarf" and "dog", respectively. Makes sense since they're so darn smol and cute. Two separate breeds are recognized: the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi.
These bustling, friendly little dogs were the favorite breed of The Queen for more than eight decades. In 1933 Queen Elizabeth's father brought home a corgi, and thus began the Queen's interest in delightful doggos of the corgi variety. We have got to admit, corgis are absolutely precious. With their fluffy butts and curled tails, it's no wonder how they capture the attention and affection of every one they come across, both of the human and dog variety!
